What Salesforce permissions does my admin account need?
Your Salesforce admin account needs "Modify All Data" permission to write masked values to sandbox records, and "View Setup and Configuration" to read schema. A System Administrator profile in the sandbox has both by default. You do not need these permissions on production — only on the sandbox you're connecting.
Does this work with Partial Copy sandboxes or only Full sandboxes?
Both. MaskEzee works with Developer, Developer Pro, Partial Copy, and Full sandboxes. For Partial Copy and Full sandboxes — which contain real customer data — masking is most critical. Developer and Developer Pro sandboxes contain no production data by default, but you can still use MaskEzee if you've seeded them with production data for testing.
How long does masking take?
Masking speed depends on record volume and the number of fields selected. A typical Full sandbox with 50,000 Contact records and 4 selected fields takes around 8–12 minutes. MaskEzee uses Salesforce Bulk API 2.0 for maximum throughput, processing up to 10,000 records per batch.
Will masking affect our CI/CD pipeline or automated tests?
No. MaskEzee replaces field values only — Record IDs, OwnerId, lookup relationships, master-detail links, and all structural relationships remain exactly as they were. Your Apex tests, Flow tests, and CI pipelines reference IDs, not values, so they continue to work normally after masking.
